About Unfinished Wood Bed Frames

The naturally exposed grain of our untreated beds leaves them looking subtle and natural, which can bring a refreshing sense of minimalism to any home. This finish is available in any of our wide range of styles and sizes, with custom options available too.

What Kind of Untreated Wooden Bed Frames Are Available?

Every wooden bed in our range at Get Laid Beds is available as an untreated bed frame. Our speciality in custom-made bed frames lets us create a huge variety of beds, giving you unlimited options.

If you’re looking for something that maximizes your floor space, why not consider our popular space saver beds? Or, if the untreated look is required to stylize your spare bedroom, have a look at our guest bed that’s specifically designed for such rooms.

Why not make a statement with your unfinished bed frame? Our wood four poster beds are perfect for adding a touch of elegance to any bedroom. For something more modern, our wood low beds are perfect, sitting close to the floor, making them ideal for rooms with a low ceiling.

What Size Raw Wood Beds Are Available?

Our twin size and full beds are excellent as untreated bed frames, perfect for children’s and teenagers’ bedrooms that are constantly changing due to interests and trends. Every one of our bed sizes is available in an untreated finish, so you can always have your dream bed as a stylish, untreated wooden bed frame.

If you fancy a bespoke size untreated bed, our made-to-measure service is exactly what you need. Design your own custom bed, complete with measurements, style and finish.

Why Choose Our Unfinished Wooden Bed Frames?

Our untreated wooden beds are a stylish way to achieve your beauty sleep without breaking the bank. Prices vary between styles and sizes, but you can always rest easy knowing your bed’s worth it for our 11-year guarantee and the quality achieved by our strong, sustainably sourced materials. We use bed slats that are twice as thick as the industry standard, meaning that our beds can hold up to 1045lbs (474kg) of weight.

Untreated Wood Beds FAQs

What Is The Difference Between Treated And Untreated Wood

For bed frames, untreated wood is typically preferred because it’s safer for indoor use, free from harmful chemicals, and offers a natural, aesthetic finish that can be stained or painted (or kept raw for a rustic, shabby look). Treated wood, while more resistant to moisture and pests, is not ideal for indoor furniture due to potential chemical off-gassing, especially in sleeping areas. Unless the frame is intended for outdoor or high-moisture environments, untreated wood is the healthier and more suitable choice.

How To Clean Untreated Wood Bed Frames

To clean an untreated wood bed frame, dust regularly and wipe with a damp cloth using mild soap and water—avoid soaking the wood. Dry immediately. For deeper care, apply a small amount of natural oil (like linseed or mineral oil), let it soak in, then buff off the excess. Avoid harsh cleaners and chemicals.
